What we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you and keep the site running.

• When you apply, your name, email, company, and your answers about your launch, your current setup and where it breaks.
• With every application, where you came from (the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the link), the page you landed on, your browser type, and a scrambled version of your IP address that we use to spot spam. Our database never stores the raw address. Our hosting provider keeps the usual server logs, which include addresses.
• When you email us, whatever you choose to send.
• If you accept analytics, how people use the site, such as pages viewed, the device and browser, your approximate location, and whether Apply links are clicked and the form is started or sent.

Cookies and similar storage

Some of this is essential and some is optional. You choose the optional part with the cookie notice when you first visit.

• Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser. It is essential and never leaves your device.
• Your cookie choice is saved in your browser so we do not ask again. It is essential and never leaves your device.
• Campaign tags and your landing page are kept in your browser until you close the tab. They are sent to us only if you send an application.
• Google Analytics sets cookies that start with _ga. They are optional, and they are only set if you press Accept.
• Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the apply form to tell people from bots. It may use your browser storage to do that.

If you press Reject, analytics never loads. You can change your choice any time with the button below.

How we use it

• To read your application, decide whether we are a fit, and reply.
• To send you a confirmation email.
• To protect the form from spam and abuse.
• To learn which pages and links work, but only if you accept analytics.
• To keep a record of who we have talked to.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They host it, store applications, send and receive email, check for bots and, if you accept, measure traffic. They may only use your data to provide that service to us. The list is on the Data Processing page.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run advertising on this site.

We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights.

How long we keep it

We keep an application we do not take on for 12 months and then delete it. If we work together, we keep the records of that work for as long as we work together and for 3 years after. Emails follow the same schedule. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless the law says we must keep it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or limit how we use it. You can also withdraw a consent you gave. Email us and we will act on it within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have these rights under local law and you can complain to your data protection authority. If you live in California, you can ask what we collect, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. We do neither.

We may need to confirm it is really you before we act on a request.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Our database stores IP addresses only in scrambled form and we limit who can see applications. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything you would not want at risk.

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this page we will update the date at the top. If the change is big we will say so on the site.
